To the Students, Faculty, and Staff of Georgia Highlands College:

Theta Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. wishes to extend a cordial invitation to your institution for the 2015 Women’s Health and Wellness Event on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Cedartown Women’s Building located at 415 Wissahickon Ave., Cedartown, GA 30125. At this event, we will observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month and environmental awareness through recycling. All attendees are asked to wear pink and bring new or gently used bras for donation to the Bra Recyclers.

The purpose of this event is to educate and encourage women to take charge of their health and the environment. Our guest speakers will be from the Breast Center at Floyd. They will provide basic breast health information, discuss the importance of early detection as the key to survival and share breast cancer resources available in the community.

In closing, please make plans to attend and share this event with your friends, family, and anyone interested in learning more about the community service programs of our sorority.
