What a weekend for GHC Athletics

Charger athletics had a stellar weekend on the court and on the baseball and softball field. The Charger Softball team swept Gadsden State College on Friday and USC Salkehatchie on Saturday in double headers. The Charger Baseball team sweep a three game series versus Roane State on Friday and Saturday and to top off the weekend the Chargers men’s and women’s basketball teams both defeated East Georgia College .
Also even a bigger story was the Charger Basketball teams had their Chargers Stomp out Cancer Game and helped raise $2,2012 dollars for Paint Georgia Pink Inc. a Breast Cancer patient support group. The Charger Softball team had a weekend fundraiser to benefit ALS research at Emory University with over $700 raised. Lynne Dowd , grandmother of Charger Softball coach Melissa Wood who was recently diagnosed with ALS threw out the first pitch.
What a great weekend to be a Charger fan! I am so proud of the community efforts of our athletes and coaches.
Hope to see you at a Charger athletic event soon.
Go Chargers!!
