GHC’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015. To date, only one nomination has been made for a student speaker.
If you know a graduating student who meets the speaker eligibility requirements outlined below, you are encouraged to nominate that student by submitting a letter of endorsement to SpeakerNomination@highlands.edu .
The student eligibility requirements are:
• Must be a graduate of the 2014-15 academic year (in line to graduate by May 2015).
• Must have a minimum adjusted GPA of 3.0.
• Must be nominated by a GHC faculty, staff or graduating student of the Class of 2015.
• Must demonstrate personal commitment (education, integrity, diversity, inclusiveness, leadership, cooperation, human rights, justice, etc.).
• Must have a college record free of suspension, probation or other disciplinary actions.
• Should show involvement in community or campus activities/student life.
Nomination letters of endorsement should be submitted to SpeakerNomination@highlands.edu . A committee will then review nominations collected from all GHC locations to make the selections for both opening and closing remarks representing the Class of 2015.
PS: For anyone who noticed: Apologies for yesterday’s blunder post. T.
