Chargers Softball Plays Well at GA State

Chargers had a good first outing against NCAA Division I, Georgia State University. The team in the first game lost a close 9-7 contest as three GHC players went yard (Liz Prance, Emily Willingham, and Erin Holcomb). Kristen Mullis would add a fourth dinger on the day in Game 2 providing the only run in a 7-inning loss. Game two highlighted 7 freshman starters and three returners while game one featured two rookies and 8 returners. Every player on the roster played in at least one of the two games and the Chargers have scored the most runs off Georgia State than any of their other opponents this fall. Next up for the Highlands team is the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Fall Tournament where the team will face D1 UTC and NAIA Bryan College.
