Celebrate the Freedom to Read During Banned Books Week @ Your GHC Libraries

Howdy Partners,

Celebrate the freedom to read – Get on the Banned Books Wagon at your GHC Libraries!

This year’s, we’re doing a western theme of “Wanted!” books, so mosey on over to the Floyd Campus Library and join Sheriff Frost (pictured) for a Banned Books Reading on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to sit a spell and listen to the readings! If you’d like to join the outlaws and participate in the Reading Round Up by reading short sections from a Banned Book, please sign up at the library.

The most recent list of books challenged or banned may be found at http://www.ila.org/BannedBooks/ALA016%20Short%20List%20L3c_low%20(1).pdf.

You might be surprised by many of the titles!

So saddle up and head on over to the library and tell us who’s on your “Wanted!” list!

If you have questions about Banned Books Week, just ask one of your ever-helpful GHC Librarians.

Thanks,

Elijah
