In addition, the public is invited to RSVP for the investiture ceremony of Mike Hobbs, Ph.D. as fifth president of GHC. The ceremony will be held on September 28 at 11AM in Rome at the GHC Floyd Campus, 3175 Cedartown Highway, Rome, GA 30161.

By becoming a sponsor of the First Highlands Scholarship Gala, donors are opening the doors of achievement and success for students by ensuring that financial barriers never slow academic inquiry, imagination, or the drive to achieve.

“You are helping to fund an education, a dream and a future,” Executive Director of Advancement Sarah Bradfield said.

In addition to enjoying a great night with live music, attendees will also take away a deeper understanding of GHC’s commitment to student success and how scholarships have helped fill in gaps in basic need funding for so many students.

“By purchasing a sponsorship to the First Highlands Scholarship Gala, community partners will help GHC equip future generations of leaders that will make lasting investments in the communities in which we serve,” Bradfield said. “The gala provides a meaningful opportunity for members of the community to help support students who need financial help to complete or earn their college degree.”

Georgia Highlands College has been committed to supporting students of Northwest Georgia and the college since 1973.
