Basketball teams take aim at weekend championships, top honors

The Chargers take out Gordon State (79-68) and move on to the GCAA Semi Finals against Albany Tech on Friday (8PM) at GHC’s Floyd location. The Lady Chargers (GCAA Champions) move on to the NJCAA Southeast District Championship against Spartanburg Methodist on Saturday (1PM) at GHC’s Floyd location. Additionally, Coach Brandan Harrell was honored as “Coach of the Year,” and Lady Charger Jashanti Simmons was honored as “Player of the Year.”
