Managers (especially new managers), register to attend one, or both, of the following 1.5 hour sessions:

 

Session A – November 18th         

8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.                     Rome (Rome/Paulding/Heritage Hall)

10:30 a.m. – Noon                          Cartersville (Cartersville/Marietta/Douglasville)

 

Managing @ GHC Module II – Staffing and Selection

At the close of the session manager will be able to:

    • Understand the types of employment and employees
    • Understand and complete the approval and posting processes
    • Manage and facilitate the selection process for approved open positions
    • Ensure compliance
    • Understand new hire administration and the importance of timely completion
    • Understand the overview of benefits and eligibility for benefits
    • Understand most common HR new hire forms and know where to access them

 

Session B – December 9th            

8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.                     Rome (Rome/Paulding/Heritage Hall)

10:30 a.m. – Noon                          Cartersville (Cartersville/Marietta/Douglasville)

Managing @GHC Module III – Performance Related Actions and Documentation

At the close of the session manager will be able to:

  • Discuss foundational, critical and aspirational topics which are management related
  • List the suggested contents of, and reasons for, a supervisor’s record
  • Explain the reasons for creating documentation
  • Cite reasons performance related documentation is important
  • Discuss implications of not documenting
  • Identify examples of content for performance evaluations
  • Explain the purpose of disciplinary action
  • List the points to always include in disciplinary documentation
  • Discuss steps in an investigation
  • Cite the content to include in an investigative report
