Communicating With Students
Learn how to effectively approach conflicts with students and reflect on your own dispositions and tendencies regarding conflict and communication. You will also develop an understanding of how and when to use communication tools and strategies to engage students and reduce the likelihood of conflicts escalating.

Upon completion, learners will be able to:
Identify the major conflict styles and their pros and cons in different situations.
Identify best practices when engaging in a difficult conversation with a student.
Determine the best mode of communication for any given conversation with a student.
Use best practices for establishing group norms in class.
