Charger Kick-off is Friday, September 6th at 8:00 a.m. on the Floyd Campus gym.

Coffee and water will be provided at check-in beginning at 7:45 a.m. The program will begin with years of service and Faculty/Staff awards. As usual, we will have a group photo of everyone outside. No event t-shirt this year so wear GHC colors for the day’s event.

Breakout sessions and committee session begin at 9:05 a.m. Please register for your preferred session: https://kickoff.highlands.edu/

Lunch for everyone is at 11:00 a.m. in the front of the gym. There will be three tables with six lines. If you have dietary restrictions, please make note on the registration link listed above.

After lunch, we will have the State of the College at 11:30 and a special ending to the day. Faculty meeting starts at 1:00 p.m.

Several departments have donated themed baskets that will be given away during the event.

Georgia Highlands College Staff Council is hosting a supply drive collecting feminine hygiene products, baby wipes and diapers for the GHC student food pantry. Drop off your donations at the Staff Council table in the Gym Lobby on your way in!

Don’t forget the silent auction. There will be lots of amazing items to bid on this year. The table will be located in the gym lobby.

This is the only time of the year that all employees are together at one location. The annual event is required for all full-time staff and faculty. Part-time faculty are invited to come to any of the events. It is an exciting time to kick off the Academic year. We look forward to seeing everyone bright and early Friday morning.
