GHC Athletics November Newsletter!

Greetings Charger Nation,

Happy Thanksgiving!  The month of November has been full of service for the Georgia Highlands Student Athletes. The first annual Chargers Canned Food drive brought in over 300+ canned food items for the local Cartersville Salvation Army and the GHC Food Pantry. Also, we joined forces with Bartow County Career Academy to help with the “Teen Reality Store” to help promote finical literacy to the local teens in Bartow County.  Lastly, we were given the opportunity to work with local churches in Rome (Silver Creek Church) and Cartersville (Cartersville First Baptist) to get involved with Operation Christmas Child “Pack a Shoe Box”project. This organization sends Christmas gift boxes to children across the world. Our student athletes helped pack and load these boxes off for shipment.

Congratulations to November “Charger Champion,” Ms. Annette Maddox. Ms. Maddox was nominated by the GHC baseball team as being a dedicated faculty member who has made an impact on their time as student athletes at Georgia Highlands. Thank you, Ms. Maddox for your commitment to serve all students at Georgia Highlands.

Thank you for your support towards Georgia Highlands Athletics!
