Last year, the University System created and hosted the first annual Regents Cup. This event is designed to promote civil discourse among our students, encouraging them to engage in thoughtful and respectful debate on important issues. This year, we are putting together our first GHC team to send to the debate. Our very own Travice Obas will be the team’s coach. Clifton Puckett, Allen Dutch, and I are supporting her in this work. We would love your help identifying students who may be interested in this opportunity. If you know of any students who might be interested, please let us know by filling out this form. We will also have a Regent’s Cup Information Session on January 16th at 3pm on the Cartersville campus. We will make sure to have a Microsoft Teams option, as well as record it. Requirements are still being drafted to join the team, but generally students must be enrolled in or completed Comm 1100 Human Communication or Comm 1110 Public Speaking
