Greetings Charger Nation,
Happy October! My name is Nicki Levering and I’m the new Director of Athletics at Georgia Highlands College. I’m looking forward to a year full of engagement and competitive success from our Charger student athletes. As a department, our focus will be on the growth of our student athletes as we strive towards building student athletes of high character, an emphasis on academic success, the value of service and engagement in our local community, and recruiting talented future Charger student athletes in order to continue our winning traditions.
Congratulations to our first nominated “Charger Champion,” Ms. Donna Mantooth. Ms. Mantooth was nominated by the men’s basketball team as being a dedicated faculty member who has made an impact on their time as student athletes at Georgia Highlands. Thank you, Ms. Mantooth for your commitment to serve all students at Georgia Highlands.
I invite you all to attend the Field Naming Celebration for the new baseball and softball complex on Sunday, Oct 20th at 3:00 PM. This a free and fun community celebration for the whole family. Georgia Highlands College will name and dedicate the new softball and baseball fields. We will have a home run derby, softball bingo, inflatables, prizes, giveaways and more!
