We’re gearing up for something BIG at Georgia Highlands College, and we want you to be part of it! On Sunday, October 20th, we’re hosting our exciting Field Naming Celebration at the new softball and baseball fields, and it’s going to be a day filled with fun activities, games, food, and more. The event starts at 3PM and is free and open to you, your family, and the community!

Here’s a preview of one of the events:

5:00 PM – Home Run Derby on the Cdr. Robert Bentley USN (Ret) Baseball Field

Purchase a Home Run Derby Ball for a chance to win a GHC 18″ Mini Wooden Baseball Bat. We will announce your name or the name of your business, then if one of our baseball players hits your derby ball out of the park, you win! The GHC 18″ Mini Wooden Baseball Bat can be brought back to the first baseball and softball home games of the season to grant free admission for you and your family and one free item from the concession stand.

Attendance is free to all events during the Field Naming Celebration. You MUST BE in attendance to win. Proceeds go to support the Athletic Fund at Georgia Highlands College.

Want to take part in the Homerun Derby? Head to the event page and click “Support the Teams” to grab your Derby Balls early. Proceeds go straight to our Athletic Fund, so you’re helping out while having fun!
