GeorgiaBEST is reviving Banner Boot Camp as a FREE virtual multi-session workshop.
Banner Boot Camp serves as both a primer for new staff and a refresher for experienced staff. Content will be high level, providing just enough information to get you started with emphasis on our Georgia Enhancements.
Banner Boot Camp kicks off on September 18, 2024 with an Overview session at 10 am introducing the GeorgiaBEST Team and the services we provide. Banner Basics, at 11 am, will provide basic Banner information needed by every Banner user. Subsequent sessions will focus on individual Banner modules and related GeorgiaBEST services, including General, Student, Accounts Receivable, Financial Aid, Technical, and Degree Works. In addition, we will have guest presentations by our vendor partners Ellucian and TouchNet, and USO partners Shared Services and Georgia Transfer.
An email reminder will be sent to all registered participants prior to the start of the session. Use the “Join Event” button in the calendar invite to join the meeting. All sessions allow ample time for questions as well as time to transition from one session to another if scheduled the same day.

Banner Boot Camp: Ellucian Session I
Ellucian representatives will provide high level training for those who are interested in setting up curriculum using the baseline product. Topics will include:
Curriculum setup based on program code and majors
How new concentration codes impact current curriculum settings
Additionally, Ellucian will do a Student Attribute Overview and how attributes impact a student record.

What is a population selection? Join us as we take a deeper dive into population selections and how they affect you on campus. We will discuss how to set them up, what they can be used for, and how to keep them updated.
Banner Boot Camp: Accounts Receivable (Daily & Term Activities)
Join us for our first Banner Boot Camp Accounts Receivable session. We will discuss setting up and maintaining detail codes as well as review end of day processing. For people who need to obtain Banner data for auditing purposes, we will cover the Audit Toolkit.
Banner Boot Camp: TouchNet (Fraud Awareness Initiatives)
TouchNet representatives will be sharing timely information on red flag reporting and fraud mitigation. Bursars from all campuses are welcome and encouraged to attend.
