It is with great sadness that I announce that Mr. Jerry Shelton, retiree of GHC, passed away on June 12, 2023.
Mr. Shelton worked at GHC (then Floyd Junior College) from 1970-1999. He served as Director of Physical Education and Professor. He was a graduate of Berry College. He earned his master’s degree in Physical Education from Middle Tennessee State University. Mr. Shelton retired in 1999 after serving nearly 30 years.

A graveside services to celebrate his life will be held, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1:00 PM, Central Time, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 3146 County Road 33, Fyffe, Alabama, 35971.The obituary for Mr. Shelton can be found at:
