Lab: Connecting Environments in Hybrid Courses | February 14-17, 2023
This lab will explore the framework for designing a hybrid (blended) course. We will examine the connection between the online and f2f environment and the best approach to take full advantage of the modality. We will determine why and how to create a “need to know” atmosphere, identify options for student accountability, explore teaching strategies, and discuss facilitation issues.
Next Month: Designing Your Online Course (DYOC)
Thurs., March 9 – Thurs., March 23 | Facilitator: Rachel Rupprecht | Registration Instructions
“The ‘Designing Your Online Course’ workshop includes an overview of the QM Rubric and provides a framework for participants to design an online course plan. An integral element of the workshop is an exploration of the eight General Standards of the QM Rubric, focusing on learning objectives and overall course alignment. Participants will complete a Course Development Plan. The plan includes all of the essential Specific Review Standards (SRS) with a column for how the participant will meet the SRS in their course and what resources they will need.”
