Asynchronous D2L Work: Tues, Nov 2 – Fri, Nov 5  |  Facilitator: Shannan Harrington

Synchronous Wrap-Up Zoom Meeting: Fri, October 29  |  12:00-12:30 pm

CETL labs facilitate asynchronous hands-on engagement with pedagogical professional development over a four-day period in preparation for a culminating synchronous meeting. Participants in this lab should expect to work independently for 4 hours and will learn how to utilize a TiLT framework for crafting assignment guidelines to help students see a clear pathway to success. Participants will receive an overview of the benefits of transparent teaching practices and deliver a revised assignment that applies the TiLT framework.

Have you ever heard yourself say, “Should I upload this document? Can I use this image? If I can show this movie in class, why can’t I put it online?” If you find copyright confusing, you are not alone. This workshop will try to bring some clarity about copyright in the classroom, so bring your questions and let’s talk about it!
