We all need breaks. Take them. Burnout is real, and being non-stop in work mode actually hurts your performance. Vacations are first and foremost about refreshing one’s self. We can slip into thinking that taking a meaningful and good vacation has to mean going on trips somewhere or doing lots of activities, but those forms of vacationing may not be the best options during this pandemic. Those options are not the only ways to unplug and refresh and sometimes can even hinder recharging. And if you have a habit of not taking vacation, please remember that there’s a maximum to the amount of leave that rolls over.
