VPN Guidelines
When to use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client: Due to a limited number of concurrent connections available, please use the VPN only when necessary to perform essential business tasks, such as the below. When finished, please remember to sign off to free up the connection.
• Access to push/install certain Windows software needing administrative rights (Jabber, Zoom)
• Access Intranet (Certain information on Employee Portal)
• Access Banner
• Access PeopleSoft
• Access Cisco Finesse (Call Center)
• Access network resources (P:Drive, Dept Shares, etc.)
VPN is NOT required to access standard business tools and websites, such as:
• Microsoft Office365 apps (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
• D2L
• Cisco Jabber
• Zoom
• GHC Inform
• Navigate
• SCORE, SCORECARD (DegreeWorks)
• General Internet Use
