After a tough loss on Friday, the Chargers were looking to right the ship against the American Basketball Institute Warriors at the Corral on Saturday. Behind a balanced attack that saw 10 different players score points, with 5 in double-digits, the Chargers easily defeated the Warriors 118-83.
GHC was led by Langston Wilson with 26 points, going a stellar 12-16 from the floor. He also led the team with 6 rebounds. Trevin Wade added 18 and Tajah Fraley chipped in 14. Carl Johnson had a solid all-around game scoring 12 points, dishing 5 assists, and grabbing 4 steals. Jamal Burke rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points.
For the game, the Chargers were a much-improved 61% from floor and 42% behind the arc. They were also able to score 60 points in the paint and 23 points off turnovers.
With the win, the Chargers evened their record at 2-2 on the season. The team heads to Panama City, FL next week for two games in the Gulf Coast State Classic. On Thursday, the team faces off with former-GHC Head Coach Phil Gaffney and his new Gulf Coast State College team. Tip-off is at 8:30PM (EST). They will then take on Daytona State College on Friday at 5:00PM (EST).
