Teaching Tip:

As the semester progresses, providing students with effective feedback about their work is essential to their learning progress. Feedback needs to be more than a letter grade and should also be timely and specific. Students need to be able to determine how to improve based on the instructor’s feedback. In the article, The Almond Joy of Providing Feedback, Kimberly Chappell (2019) explains one technique for providing fruitful feedback to students. Consider Chappell’s (2019) suggestions when providing feedback to your students this semester.
