Please join us in welcoming Christy Smith to her role as an Instructor of Dental Hygiene. Originally from Woodstock, Georgia, she graduated from Medical College of Georgia with a bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene. She graduated from Shorter College with a master’s in Leadership and her teaching certificate from the University of Georgia. Her most recent position was at Sonoraville High, in Calhoun, Georgia, where she taught Anatomy and Health Science. She has continued to practice as a dental hygienist, off and on, since 1998. Christy loves to travel with her friends and family and enjoys working in her flower garden. She is thrilled to be a part of the Georgia Highlands Dental Hygiene Program!
