GHC’s Student Success Collaborative (SSC)
Navigate Implementation
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Floyd Campus, Lakeview Auditorium
Anyone interested in learning more is invited to attend.
Hello, Everyone.
As you may know, Georgia Highlands College joined the Student Success Collaborative (SSC). This venture combines technology, research, and process improvement to support student retention, progression, and completion through streamlined onboarding and term-over-term student support.
Not only will GHC students have access to an innovative web-based platform, but faculty, staff, and administrators will also have access to a collection of services — from peer networking to live webinars to national student success summits — designed to facilitate cross-membership learning and maximize the value of participation.
Some of the key benefits of SSC Navigate to GHC are:
- Process improvement support to create a streamlined student onboarding experience
- Intake survey, program picker, and career data enable students to independently identify a best-fit program of study
- Easy student access to short- and long-term academic planning
- Best-fit scheduling tool helps students to design a plan that fits their lives outside of school
- Student “nudge” reminders for key tasks throughout the college career
- Support of focus on retention and student success among advisors and administrators through robust reporting
I invite you to join me in learning more about this exciting new initiative on April 5, 2018. The Education Advisory Board will kick off GHC’s SSC Navigate implementation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Lakeview Auditorium, sharing the research behind the Collaborative and demonstrating the key features of the student SSC Navigate platform and faculty/advisor SSC Campus platform. Anyone interested in learning more is invited to attend.
Following the kick-off presentation, stakeholders in the onboarding, registration, and advising processes will be invited to participate in mapping sessions throughout the day. A detailed schedule of these mapping sessions will be forwarded following this message from Jennifer Hicks directly to the individuals who need to be involved. Please be on the lookout for Jennifer’s email.
