The Chargers got back in action on the road at Gordon State College and came away with a 89-75 win. After trailing the game 49-41 at the half, GHC fought back in the second half taking a 64-63 lead midway through the second half. The Chargers extended their lead to 11, 79-68 with 4:46 remaining and pulled away for the win.
“We got off to another slow start, but fought back very hard to get a solid road win versus a quality team,” said Charger head coach Phil Gaffney. The Chargers were led by DeMarcus Addie with 20 points, Jeremiah Buford with 14,TaJuan Johnson with 13, and D’Andre Bernard with 10.
The Chargers (9-7), (3-1) in conference play return to action on Wednesday as they travel to East Georgia College, tip off 7:30pm.
