GHC ITS has received several questions from faculty and staff about ‘Cisco Unity’ email messages in their inbox. These messages are from our new voicemail system and are NOT phishing messages.

An example of a voicemail notification:

From: Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System
Date: January 23, 2017 at 4:58:09 PM EST
To: your_user_name@morty.highlands.edu
Subject: Message from Unknown Sender (phone_number_here)

The subject line may also show a caller’s name instead of ‘Unknown Sender’ for internal calls.
