Behind five players scoring in double digits the Chargers opened GCAA Conference play with a 93-50 win over the Titans of Albany Tech. GHC high pressure full court press paid high dividends for the Chargers early forcing 23 turnovers for the game. GHC had every player scoring tonight, led by Ty Cockfield and Ricco Bonds with 16 points each. “Ty and Ricco had spectacular games tonight as did our entire team, it’s always good to get a conference win”, said Charger head coach Phil Gaffney. Kyvon Davenport chipped in 15 points, and Massamba Dioum and Donovan Ham had 10 each. The Chargers out rebounded Albany Tech 53 / 29 and had 43 points off the bench compared to Albany’s 8 points.
The Chargers (12-0) , (1-0 in GCAA play ) will return to action on Tuesday on the road at Gadsden State. Tip off 8:30pm EST.
