At the close of the session manager will be able to:
- Understand the types of employment and employees
- Understand and complete the approval and posting processes
- Manage and facilitate the selection process for approved open positions
- Ensure compliance
- Understand new hire administration and the importance of timely completion
- Understand the overview of benefits and eligibility for benefits
- Understand most common HR new hire forms and know where to access them
Session B – December 9th

Managing @GHC Module III – Performance Related Actions and Documentation
At the close of the session manager will be able to:
- Discuss foundational, critical and aspirational topics which are management related
- List the suggested contents of, and reasons for, a supervisor’s record
- Explain the reasons for creating documentation
- Cite reasons performance related documentation is important
- Discuss implications of not documenting
- Identify examples of content for performance evaluations
- Explain the purpose of disciplinary action
- List the points to always include in disciplinary documentation
- Discuss steps in an investigation
- Cite the content to include in an investigative report
