Lady Chargers get home win

Lady Chargers get win at the Corral: On the night Georgia Highlands College celebrated the accomplishments of last year teams with the NJCAA Region XVII Championship Banner unveiling and ring ceremony the Lady Chargers did not disappoint with a 63-53 win over the Lady Cardinals of Gadsden State. Behind a strong performance from Sophomore Kerry Watson the Lady Chargers went on a 12-0 run late in the 3rd period to extend GHC’S led to 57-41. The Lady Chargers had a great night at the free throw line shooting 77.4% for the game, and out rebounding Gadsden State 51-36. The Lady Chargers were led by Kerry Watson’s 19 points and 5 assist, Kateryna Khomenko with 8 points and 14 rebounds. Pam Diokpara and Tia Stevens both finished with 8 points. With the win the Lady Chargers go to 2-1 on the season. the Lady Chargers travel to Snead State on Friday. Tip off 6:30 CST.
