Ty’lik Evans loves the big games on the national stage and tonight was no different as he led the #2 Chargers over the #7 nationally ranked Caper Fear College Seadevils 118-101 on the road in Wilmington, North Carolina. Cape Fear got out of the gate early leading 14-6 in the first half but that changed quickly with the high pressure press that the Chargers are know for. The two that have carried the Chargers in the early part of the schedule continued to do so tonight , Ty’Lik Evans had a stellar night with 25 points, 8 assists , and 5 steals and Kyvon Davenport with 23 points, and 10 rebounds. Donovan Ham also stepped up obit with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
“It was a great team effort tonight beating the #7 ranked team in the country on the road is huge, with this win we win our 40th straight game,” said Charger head coach Phil Gaffney. The Chargers go to 6-0 on the season, The Chargers will be at the Corral on Tuesday night vs the Fort Benning Patriots for a special Veterans Game. All veterans in attendance will be admitted free and will receive a free commemorative t-shirt. Tip off 7:30pm.
