Please consider the event format changes for this transitional year and plan to attend a holiday gathering for faculty and staff.
Employees are encouraged to invite a guest – be it spouse, partner, or friend – and spend some very deserved time relaxing and visiting with our president, first lady, and coworkers. There we will have a catered brunch buffet of Chef Jamie’s delicious creations complete with a hot beverage station.
A primary difference this year is the absence of Santa and child activities. Rather, the attention focus is geared towards employees of the college.
A holiday sweater contest will encourage friendly competition among those boasting bedazzled beauties, terrific tackies, and everything between the two. Sweater contestants will be photographed for posting via GHC intranet. A campus-wide vote the following week will allow all employees an opportunity to participate. Additionally, photos of all attendees – contestants and otherwise – will be available for digital download just in time to share for the holidays.
The event activities will include a group setup for Don’s very own Christmas Bingo (complete with prizes!) and with smaller games for the solo- and mingle-inclined.
Cathy Green’s one directive: ‘Make all employees glad they made the drive’ by providing good food and a door gift. (And just to be safe, wrapped cookies are included for our drive onward!)
