Join us Monday Dec. 7 from 4-6 pm (Floyd Campus Library) as Leigh Callan, retired GHC Biology professor, shares her latest book, ‘Here’s My Heart: A Legacy of Love and War’. This is an intergenerational story which brings together wartime letters and photographs with the history of her father’s unit and campaigns during World War II, excerpts from his memoir of the Depression and subsequent war years as well as her mother’s recent reflections on her experience as a young war bride. It is a touching story that will inspire others to seek out their own family histories.

Leigh and her mother will be signing copies, and sharing stories from the book and of the writing and researching process. It will be an informal event, so we hope you can join us. Faculty, we hope you encourage students to come by too!
