The University System policy allows for the election of CTO (compensatory time off) in lieu of paid overtime. This form allows for full time non-exempt (hourly/bi-weekly) employees to elect either CTO or paid overtime. Compensatory time and paid overtime are calculated the same – time and a half for hours worked over 40.
CTO may be banked up to 60 hours and must be expended in a practicable manner. It is vitally important to note that all overtime must be pre-approved by a supervisor prior to performing any work related duties.
During open enrollment is the only time you can change your CTO election. To change your current CTO election, send completed form, including manager’s approval, to Human Resources by November 13, 2015.
