Greetings Georgia Highlands Employees!
Please note all campuses will be closed in observance of Labor Day Monday, September 7, 2015. Please remember that University System of Georgia allows 8 hours for holiday pay. Since 9 hours are required due to our work schedule at GHC, you may select one of the following options to accommodate for the missing hour:
1. Work an extra hour some other time between Saturday, September 5 but no later than Friday, September 11.
2. You may elect 1 hour paid vacation time to account for the difference.
3. You may elect 1 hour available comp time to account for the difference.
Please note sick time is not available to use in this case. Please feel free to address your specific concerns with your supervisor/manager.
