The dignified gentleman pictured below is Mr. David Horace, our new (and first) Chief of Police!  David has an extensive background in campus law enforcement and has most recently served as the Chief of Police at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC.  Earlier in his career, he was the Chief of Police at Columbus State University here in Georgia.  We’re excited to have David on the team as he brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our College.

David keeps a “main” office in Cartersville, but, he’s never there!  He’s done a tremendous job of making the rounds to see all our campus operations so far, and continues to be on the road a great deal.  If you see him around your campus, please say “hello”.  You can reach David by phone at his office in Cartersville at 678-872-8133 or by e-mail at dhorace@highlands.edu.
