For those of you who are new to the college, the Georgia Highlands College Ambassador’s are a group of faculty and staff members who volunteer their time and effort to instill an atmosphere of friendliness, dependability, and camaraderie among the college and surrounding community. We coordinate seasonal social events for all employees, as well as Cell Phones for Soldiers, collecting food for the Community Kitchen, and coordinating the donation of hundreds of shoes for Soles for Souls.
We organize and provide these events with the generosity of the employees. Once a year, at in-service we ask for a small donation. $15 dollars per employee. Items purchased with the contributions include food, door prizes, decorations and other supplies for the events. The number of events per year are determined by the employee contributions.
Please remember to bring your checkbooks or cash to In-Service. The Ambassadors will be set up at a table in the foyer to take your donations. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I have been an Ambassador for 14 years now and it is a very rewarding (and fun)experience to serve Georgia Highlands College. I know that in these hard economic times we are often irritated by requests for donations, but be assured that these donations come right back to you in the form of social events and camaraderie among friends. These events help to bring us closer as a GHC family, and to reinforce what a great place we work in and what wonderful people we work with. These difficult times are when we need to pull together most and support each other. It helps to throw in a little fun once in a while!
