Nomination Deadline is THURSDAY, MARCH 13, 2014
GHC’s Graduation is scheduled for May 15, 2014. We ask your help in identifying good candidates to nominate for the two student speaker positions.
Student speaker selections will be made for opening and closing remarks. The eligibility requirements are:
• Student must be in line to graduate the current academic year.
• Minimum adjusted GPA of 3.0.
• Student must be nominated by GHC faculty or staff.
• Student must demonstrate personal commitment (education, integrity, diversity, inclusiveness, leadership, cooperation, human rights, justice, etc.).
• Student’s college record must be free from suspension, probation or other disciplinary actions.
• Student should show involvement in community or campus activities/student life.
Nomination letters should be submitted to the student life coordinators at stulife@highlands.edu. They will review nominations from all GHC locations and will make the speaker selections.
