Below is a list of classes that will be offered during the fall semester. I hope you will take advantage of these classes as often as possible as each of our instructors are volunteering their time to make them possible. Wellness classes are for faculty, staff, administrators and students and in my experience, are a tremendous opportunity to interact with students.
In addition to the classes, there will be an introductory webinar on Friday, 9/6, at 10:30 am. The webinar will cover the basics associated with beginning an exercise routine, healthy weight loss programming, and how you can use the Wellness Program to help address these areas. A link will be sent out next week so you can register and attend the webinar. I hope you will attend and bring your questions so it will be a productive session.
On the Floyd Campus
Yoga Nidra with Libby Gore meets from 12:00-1:00pm in the Solarium, on the following Tuesdays: Sept 3, Sept 17, Oct 1, Oct 22, Nov 5, Nov 19
Beginner’s Yoga meets from 8-9am on Tuesdays & Thursdays, in the Solarium with Darrell Sorrells.
Dance Fitness (which is comparable to Zumba) meets Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at 5:45pm in the Lakeview Auditorium
On the Cartersville Campus
Lunch Time Walking with Melissa Wood-meets every Monday 12:30-1:30 pm at the Student Center indoor track.
Yoga with Camille Pace, for all levels-meets on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm in the Student Center aerobics room. There are a limited number of yoga mats so please get there early to get one. You may also bring your own mat or a beach towel.
Resistance Training with Scott Flynn-meets every Friday at 9 am in the Student Center weight room. This is an 8 week course designed to help you learn the basics of weight training so you can continue on your own.
