INFORMATIONAL: Medco Pharmacy – mail order pharmacy name update to Express Scripts Pharmacy

With the merger of Medco and Express Scripts the last remaining branding item was the Medco mail order pharmacy name to Express Scripts pharmacy. Starting in mid-December, the name Medco and the line “Medco is now part of the Express Scripts family of pharmacies” will no longer be mentioned. All remaining Medco mail order material with the Medco name will be rebranded as the Express Scripts Pharmacy. Specialty pharmacies will reflect Accredo branding.

Impact of this change:
Those whose prescriptions are currently filled by the Medco Pharmacy ( mail order pharmacy name) will see Express Scripts on the prescription bottle label as both the processor and filler effective in mid-December. They will only see the Express Scripts name in their literature packs, welcome kits, on the member portal and on other materials.
