Who are we?

Welcome to the Division of Social Sciences program of study in Business Administration. Georgia Highlands College Business department reflects the mission statement of Georgia Highlands College.

Our department consists of dedicated faculty and staff whose performance inspires academic success on a daily basis. Our faculty strategically work to deliver curriculums tailored to meet the educational needs of our students as well as the professional needs of today’s businesses. The success of our department is based on faculty and staff working together to achieve our goal of providing quality and accessible education that contributes to the development & expansion of the knowledge, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills our students need to thrive in today’s global society. This goal can only be accomplished in a culture consisting of experience, quality, team work, dedication, passion, honesty and professionalism. Our faculty and staff work hard to maintain such a culture.

 

What we offer?

Associate of Science in Business Administration

The Associate of Science in Business Administration is designed to give the student a well-rounded academic and practical foundation in the Business environment. In addition, it prepares the student for the continuance of their education by obtaining a baccalaureate degree at some point, even if not immediately after completing the Associate’s degree. All courses in this program are transferable to most baccalaureate degree-granting institutions including our very own BBA program.

 

Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Management

The BBA in Healthcare Management offers students the foundational knowledge and practical skills that are essential for a demanding and rapidly changing healthcare industry. The BBA in Healthcare Management will prepare students to have careers in areas such as Hospital Administration, Clinic Administration, Health Information Management, Nursing Management, and Rehabilitation Administration. The BBA program will build on the Associates of Science in Business Administration degree already established at GHC. Therefore, the lower division courses required by the proposed degree, and of all BBA students, are already in place. For more information click http://bba.highlands.edu.

 

Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The BBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management offers students the foundational knowledge and practical skills that are essential for efficient logistics and supply chain operations. This program will teach skills ranging from procurement to production to distribution and beyond. Careers in Logistics and Supply chain management include but are not limited to Vendor and Purchasing Logistics Management, Inventory Control Management, Production Management, Material and Warehousing Management, Transportation Management, and Customer Relationship Management. The BBA program will build on the Associates of Science in Business Administration degree already established at GHC.
