GHC Participates in Cartersville Christmas Parade

Georgia Highlands College colleagues proudly wore their orange and blue at the recent Cartersville Exchange Club Christmas Parade.  The parade proceeds go to support several children’s organizations including Advocates for Children, Bartow County Boys and Girls Club, Bartow Christmas, and Etowah Scholarship Foundation.

The GHC float was among 125 entries in the parade which is one of the largest in northwest Georgia.  Float decorations featured GHC banners proclaiming Happy Holidays and centered around a mock fireplace reminiscent of the ones at the Carterville Site. Four blue stockings hung on the chimney and represented Cartersville, Floyd, Paulding, and Marietta.

Approximately 15 GHC employees and family members along with the mascot Bolt and the GHC cheerleaders greeted crowds along the parade route and passed out candy, pencils, and bookmarks.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all those employees so integral to making our participation a success.
