Lady Chargers Advance to GCAA Title Game

Despite starting out sluggish and trailing Central Georgia Technical College by 4 points early in the contest, the #13-ranked Lady Chargers regained their composure to build a commanding 20-point halftime lead en route to a comfortable 75-47 victory in the semifinals of the GCAA Tournament.

GHC had four players in double-figures, led by O’Mariyah Tucker with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 steals. GCAA Player-of-the-Year Jashanti Simmons also had 16 points, followed by Jada Alston with 13 and 7 rebounds. Crystal Corley added 10 points and 9 rebounds off the bench, and Sandra Lin had a solid came running the point with 7 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Lady Chargers advance to take on South Georgia Technical College in the GCAA title game on Saturday, April 3 at 2:00PM at the gym on the Rome Campus. The game will be streamed on JockJive Sports (link)
