How-To: Make Accessing Your SSO Account Easier

1. Make a better password.

Passwords are something we all have to deal with. Despite how prevalent they are, and despite how important they are, a lot of us still have trouble creating good passwords. Remember, your password should be easy for you to remember (and type!), but hard for someone else to guess. Don’t re-use old passwords or create a password based on information that’s easily available on social media. Still stumped about what makes a great password? Try a series of three or four random words.

2. Optimize your Multi-Factor Authentication Settings.

Duo is easiest to use with the Duo Mobile App. You can also add a backup device to your Duo account in case your smartphone stops working or becomes lost. Visit GHC’s Duo Device Management Portal to add or change your Duo device settings anytime.

3. Make sure you can recover access to your account.

GHC employees now have access to password self-service in Microsoft Office 365. Make sure your account recovery options are up-to-date by visiting https://myaccount.microsoft.com/. Avoid using an office phone number for password self-service if you often work remotely.
