Online Teaching: Development (Level 2) Workshop

This two-week mostly asynchronous workshop explores the research and practices for online course design and course delivery. The workshop is delivered using D2L, the authentic environment, and models best practices in design and delivery for the participants. The workshop closes with a synchronous presentation. The objectives of this workshop are to:

• Storyboard and create module design for course in D2L Practice Course
• Explore ways to prepare students to learn online
• Show proficiency in:
  • Gradebook (connecting to graded assignment, manage grades)
  • Discussions
  • Assignments
  • Quizzes
• Construct accessible online courses
• Clarify copyright in online environment
