Securing information and information systems is an important responsibility of the University System of Georgia (USG) and all USG institutions. In order to ensure that we are doing our part to keep our students safe online, GHC will require the use of Duo Security for all student Single Sign-On accounts beginning on August 1st, 2020. IT will be rolling out Single Sign-On services with Duo to more of our student systems, such as SCORE, in the near future.

Students can enroll in Duo today by visiting duoportal.highlands.edu and following the instructions provided on the website. After August 3rd, 2020, students will be automatically prompted to enroll in Duo upon logging in to email or D2L.

 Our bookstore is in the process of ordering Yubico Security Keys to make available for students who are unable or unwilling to use a smartphone for Duo. These USB devices are inexpensive, industry-leading U2F security keys that can be connected to any computer’s USB-A port.
