February is National Cancer Prevention Month

February is National Cancer Prevention Month.  Some tips to prevent cancer are:

  • Don’t use tobacco
  • Protect your skin from the sun
  • Eat a plant-based diet
  • Maintain a healthy weight and be physically active
  • Limit alcohol
  • Practice safer sex and avoid risky behaviors
  • Get immunized (HPV and Hepatitis B vaccines)
  • Know your family history and get recommended cancer screenings
