Hello GHC!   Do you like going to the movies? Well, I discovered an innovative way to fund raise to help the GHC Study Abroad travelers and we are going to do a test run. It’s called “FilmRaising.”  

Film + fundraising = film raising. 

There is a major motion picture called “Wonder” with Julia Roberts & Owen Wiilson premiering the weekend of November 17-18-19, and I signed up GHC Study Abroad under the FilmRaising website so that if people purchase tickets through their website in advance, GHC Study Abroad travelers will earn $1 for each ticket purchased!  The great thing is that ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE US can buy a ticket to watch this movie in their city and GHC Study Abroad will benefit! Tickets can be purchased IN ADVANCE for a FUTURE DATE, but tickets must be purchased no later than midnight on Sunday, November 19 to count.

In order to support this FilmRaiser, you need to go to  http://www.filmraiser.com/tickets  and then type in “Georgia Highlands College Study Abroad” under “Cause” and find us there and proceed to purchase your movie tickets for The Wonder movie.  It’s THAT easy!

What is totally awesome is that people can plan to see The Wonder Movie at any time at any theatre across the United States; they just need to purchase through the online link no later than midnight on Sunday, November 19 in order to count towards GHC’s FilmRaiser efforts.  

So why not make some movie plans for next weekend or even during the Thanksgiving holiday to see a wonderful film AND help support GHC at the same time?
