Lady Chargers get home win over Wallace State

Behind a strong 4th period by the Lady Chargers , GHC rolls to a 57-48 home win over the Lady Lions of Wallace State. The Lady Lions started out strong ending the first period up 13 – 7. GHC keep the game close in the first half trialing  by 5 at the half 31-26. GHC outscored Wallace State 14-6 in the third period to take a 40-37 lead into the final period. “We have struggled playing with energy and enthusiasm most of the year, but tonight we played with both and got a great result”, said Lady Charger Head Coach Brandan Harrell.

GHC’S Kanisha Tharpe led the way with 12 points and 6 rebounds, Pam Diokpara with 10 points and 9 rebounds, and Taylor Harris came off the bench scoring 10 points in her first game back after an early season injury. GHC goes to (5-8) on the year and (1-0) in GCAA Conference play.
