Cook Scholarship for Study Abroad

Georgia Highlands College has three wonderful study abroad trips in May and June of 2014. These trips can take you to London, Normandy and Paris for the seventieth anniversary of D-Day, to Barcelona, Spain and to the Dominican Republic on a service learning trip. In addition, the University System of Georgia (USG) has study abroad opportunities in the summer of 2014 to St. Petersburg, Berlin, Paris, Madrid, London and Waterford.

To help students afford these wonderful travel opportunities, the GHC Foundation has four $1,250 Cook scholarships and five $1,000 grants. If you are interested in study abroad, even if you are unsure if you will be able to ultimately go abroad in the summer of 2014, you are highly encouraged to apply for these scholarships. The application procedure is fairly simply and almost all of it can be done online. The deadline, however, of Sunday, December 1 is approaching soon. So please apply as soon as you can.
