Universal Design for Learning framework helps to design coursework in a way in which all students can benefit. The framework encourages us to provide multiple means of engagement, representation, and action & expression (www.cast.org). Considerations for accessible content is part of this framework.
CETL offers a workshop designed to promote an understanding of accessibility and apply it to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. These workshops address frequently asked questions regarding the creation of accessible content and provide introductory hands-on instruction of accessibility guidelines in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe PDFs.
